Our primary responsibility as crew advisors is to be prepared support the members of our crew. That that end there are two key knowledge areas that we must prepare:

Advisor’s Edition of the Guidebook to Adventure (link)

This version of the guidebook helps us to become familiar with every aspect of our trek and Philmont’s policies.

Please take time to read this guidebook. We will discuss much of this information with the crew as we prepare for our trek.

CPR/AED & Wilderness First Aide (WFA)

Your CPR/AED and WFA certifications must have expiration dates after July 22 (our last day at Philmont)

  1. If your training expiration meets this requirement, please sent me a copy of your certificates.
  2. If you have not completed the training, please send my the date of your scheduled training.
  3. If you have not scheduled your training, the courses are offered monthly by TFC (Calendar of Events - Three Fires Council).  Get your training scheduled within the next two weeks.

I need copies of your certificates no later than June 1.
